At the request of the "Vivons Ensemble" Association, the agency designed the project to build a living space consisting of four large houses for seniors in Cancale. The concept is aimed at seniors who wish to remain active and decision-makers in their lives. It is an interesting alternative to living alone at home or in a medical establishment.
All four houses are organized around a large garden. In each of them live a accompanying family and five seniors. Each independent elderly person benefits from a comfortable studio on the ground floor allowing him to live with a certain autonomy vis-à-vis the community. They are organized around common areas such as the kitchen and the living room. Upstairs, an accompanying person (home help) and his family live and organize collective life. The level of initiative and participation depends on the physical and intellectual fitness or even the envy of each person. These spaces are generous and their facilities promote “living together”.
