Located on Mont Saint Clair, on a balcony overlooking the Etang de Thau and on the edge of the urban center, the site occupies a unique geographical location. Mont Saint Clair, identity of Sète, must be preserved, and we must therefore ensure that the project integrates into its environment, that it is respectful of it. A human scale. Despite the impressive program, we integrated the project into its environment thanks to a set of terraces. With a street height of 14 m, the project, in R + 4, manages to fit into the surrounding urban fabric without distorting it.
• A double vegetable skin, on the Mont Saint-Clair side, protects from the sun and views from the street and is a support for climbing vegetation.
• The tiles “dance” and do not overlap. A vibration of the building lightens the project and avoids overly dense, monolithic and repetitive blocks.
• Bridges make it possible to unify and unite the project. In order to avoid the addition of independent blocks, a few inhabited walkways, such as hanging gardens, connect the buildings to each other and create linear coherence with the project.
